Only because your asking for advice,
I'd paint them black.... in an attempt to hide them.

pothole, plus i got sick of cleaning them. they might end up back on eventually depending what my brother decides, hes gunna see about fixing/replacing the broken one and then if he doesnt like them on his ute ill be able to have them back maybe
I wanted a change of some sort anyway and these were the right price, made the car safer and more legal than a random stocky, and was cheaper than replacing the one damaged wheel.

All in all they actually look good if cleaned up.
But I recon they would look pritty good gunmetal grey if done properly.

Yeah they do, once I Get the paint off the other two I'll polish them all up and see what I think.
Then make my ultimate decision about them.

I wouldn't recommend polishing them unless you want to be constantly polishing them up. Its alot of work keeping them polished.

I could and probably will be wrong , but couldnt you polish the rims up and then get them clear coated to seal the metal and protect the polish?
Just looking at the Fairlane, has anyone ever seen or put and XR front on one of those. Could be good?

I tried heaps of times to clear them but they just kept going real foggy and crappy looking.

I just saw an ad in the back of Unique Cars, for a metal clear coat called DIAMOND FINISH . Could be what you need. Web site is KBSCOATINGS.com.au. Says Aussie made as well.
