Hey guys,
I just changed the motor in my car, it's an el factory gas system, brand new gas tank. The problem seems to be as I'm driving it on gas it seems just to cut out as the there's no gas getting through it idles perfect and drives good apart for the little splatters. Dose anyone know what it could be? Anything to do with te emmition houses? Help would be much appretiated |

Have you had any work on the converter done?
What does "factory gas" mean? - tickford LPG, or converted at the dealer. I had exactly this problem, and it was because the LPG ECU wasnt getting a tach signal reliably - so it would turn the LPG Solenoids off over 4k rpm. It could be that the lpg solenoids have dodgy wiring as well Do the little "splatters" only happen at fairly good acceleration? - thats also symptomatic of the converter freezing (not cooling enough) - and that couyld be because with an engine change you may have changed the cooling lines around. LPG needs heat to vaporise the gas. Just about all systems have a passive water flow that can be blocked by an air bubble or incorrect attachment points. Make sure your cooling system is 110% operational, no water leaks and bleed the water lines to the converter and main system. |

Possibly a thermostat issue....
EL's (as most 4.0ltrs for that matter) use a 2 stage thermostat. LPG cars use a single stage thermostat. I suggest you go get a TT2000-180 (high flow) from your local parts store and throw that in with a new gasket of course....
