hey id like to know how to have a aux connection for my ba xr turbo as i have seen it on some other cars of the same model, how do you get this done?

so, if you remove the fuse pannel cover to the right of the steering wheel, and have a feel around the back of it, there is a white connection plug which might have a cap or not. you can buy the aux adaption plug from ebay, ford, or places like repco or autobahn. some will have a inbuilt line amp, which will cost more obviously, which means there is no need to have the volume on 25 or more. I brought a mid range one for $30 and it is loud enough on 20.
just plug it in and clip it along some wires along the cover oft the steering coloum with black cable ties. the best place to run it is either the centre console or the tissue box holder. if you go to the centre console you might need to do some drilling and fileing to make a clearence hole, and if you go to the tissue box, it will fit without drilling, but just electrical tape it where it goes through, so it doesnt cut the wires. if you have any excess cable, just coil it up with electrical tape and conceal it somewhere. hope this has helped |
