Hi everyone I'm new to fordmods and was wondering if anyone could help me with my falcon, the alternator stopped working recently so I thought that it was buggered. Just to make sure i went to Autobarn to buy a multimeter to check if it had. Turns out it still worked with the battery disconnected  Then I started playing around with some relays now the alternator doesn't work at all

Also about 3 weeks before hand I went sideways in a paddock  and the Gas stopped working :x
Since then I have ran a wire from the positive to a valve on the converter which allowed the gas to work again :P

Any help is very greatly appreciated I thought here is the best place to ask.

Jack

you should not disconnect the battery for any means when testing an altenator it just puts too much starin on the alt and can burn it out very fast by the sounds of it the alt is buggered anyway, just pull one off a wreck first to be sure you should be getting anywhere between 14 and 14.6 volts with car running at the battery. mine produces 14.4 constantly with ac, tunes and sub goin. my book says between 14 and 14.6 for the ea is within manufacturer service specs.
