Wondering about wiring up EL Ghia cornering lamps....

How are they wired up from the factory? Do they come on with the headlights or is there a seperate switch?

If I wire my cornering lamps up to the parker lights via a switch (Using a driving light wiring loom with relay) then they would work okay wouldn't they? Or would I need to replace the standard globes with a different type?

The globes should be fine because thats how mine are wired up. They can be switched on/off when when the parkers/low/high beam are on via a toggle switch in the centre console.

Because I've got a wagon I'll use a boot release button as a switch for the cornering lamps so it all looks factory with no aftermarket switches on the dash...Thats if I can find the light grey one.

how hard is it to wire into the parkers so they can only be turned on when the parkers/low/high beam are on via a toggle switch?

Revcore that sounds like a good idea. I did a similar thing and used a wagon rear wiper switch in my sedan. Just blew some VHT black over it to hide the symbol. A switch should be easy to find, just go to a self serve wrecker.

Fordnut1988 that is easy. Just run your relay trigger from a parker switched source, through a switch then on to the relay. I did the same. Used the cig lighter illumination, the wire is easy to get at. Any source is fine, its only a trigger so very low current draw.
