Hey guys

finished off a few things today hooked up a battery to it started testing out a few things and found a few problems

dome light doesn't work, forgot one wire when i joined the looms was doubled back and didn't see it.

trip computer lights up but very very dull can be adjusted with the dimmer switch still can only just make out what it says but if you press any buttons on the trip computer it lights up like a Christmas tree this was tested ign on off lights on off etc

also have a blotchy looking mark on the lcd screen in the cluster as pictured and nothing shows this may be that the rest of the car loom is not connected to anything in engine bay as motor is out did anybody else have these problems

does this mean the screen is broken? can it be replaced

hey guys well i got the engine in the car and as usual have a few problems

it will turn over but not fire has no spark and fuel pump wont turn on i can trip the fuel pump relay and turn the pump on dont know why it has no spark though. i have changed the coil to one that i know works checked all my earths that i can think of even plugged my air bag module in to see if it makes any difference which it does not

its so frustrating i have spent so many hours on this car and then to turn it over and it not fire

if anybody has any suggestions it would help greatly

the car if effectively an nl fairlane from the rear doors forward everything is there and the fairlane ran fine when i got it not a problem i dont know where else to look

looking forward to hearing some ideas

also climate control lights and trip comeputer lights are so dull you cant see them and the lcd screen in the cluster does not have a backlight at all

thanks damo

hello everyone havnt posted in a while.

Well i got the car going and it runs quite well after i checked those 2 relays under the top rad tank again, paid the rego yesterday and took it for a drive it drives ok but still needs a wheel alignment which is acceptable after swapping k frame, column and rack
still doesnt want to run 100% under load though

also swapped the steering wheel and tried to make my own steering wheel controls for cruise i can turn it on but cant get it to work, not happy with the position of the wheel anyway so going back to the woodgrain leather wrapped fairlane ghia one the aftermarket one is too far for my hands to reach indicators and wipers.

as you can see by the pics the seats arnt great dont know what to do about this weather to leave it or try repair the stitching on the front ones or try get good seats
