After me assuming that it was a faulty door motor looks like it is a faulty master panel switch, works in one direrction only, once its in closed position it cannot re-open nothing happens on open position...pulling the cup holder out and fiddling with the whole thing, now and then you get a run of normal operation...what is the funny copper-coloured electro-magnet which seems to be connected only with the drivers door switch in that panel? Does it have any involvement particularly in drivers window switch malfunctions?
as it is all soldered into a circuit board, can the switch be cleaned contacts or anything liek that? |

This topic should really have been placed in the Interior Modifications section.
The window master switch can be cleaned. They can also be bought on ebay for great prices too. If you find it still doesn't work properly after a good clean I'd suggest buying a new one.

Grab a soldering iron and resolder the joints on the pcb to the switches - they often go dry.
