Me engine does loook dirty from OIL & other s**t.
I was thinkining should I (a)get a car detailer to do it(b)use the car wash? Is it wise to use those car wash highpressure hoses or will it f**k with the engine electricals? If I go option (a) how much would I be looking at $$$ wise?

I sprayed some degreaser in places I knew there wasn't any electrics or anything funny, then hosed it all, and the cars still running.
It was a hot day left the bonnet open and it all evaporated pretty quickly, then I drove it just to make sure. |

just use a degresser and HOSE pressure ( finger over the hose is fine )
DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE inside the engine bay the water can get under some sensor covers and cause them to malfunction and will take along time to trace back or even water to evaporate!

Yup, de-greaser works well, not the cheaper spray on export brand .
and yup, just a hose, just cover the dizzy with a bag or something . Or as I do, Just leave the motor on while your washing it ... then blow all the water out with an air compressor . Water tends to stick on the head where the spark plugs go .but when your blow water out with a aircompressor, the water is very hot, (if you have the engine running lol) |

Export brand does work well its pretty strong though, be careful on painted surfaces like the rocker cover
