Hi guys, apologise if this hase been mentioned heaps of times before, but...

I was wonering if I would get anygains from upgrading the MAF and injectors on my AU XR8

It has the std blue 24lb with ported GT40X heads, dual 2.5" exhaust, CompCam 218/224, 255 walbro pump, Ported upper and lower intake, and has been tuned.

BPT dyno read-out gave 218rwkw for a manual.

I was thinking 39 lbs injectors and a bigger MAF like a granetelli.

What do you think?

The stock MAF tops out at 350FWHP, you're recording about 345-355FWHP at 15-18% manual driveline losses. So the MAF may be limiting, or could be perfectly matched.

Standard blue AU2/3 XR8 injectors aren't 24lb/hr they are less.

Even a ported AU explorer intake will struggle to support more than 350FWHP, which matches the current MAF very well, but is likely to be holding you back.

If you are happy with the combo, leave it alone.

If you want more power, I'd try 27lb/hr or 30lbs/hr injectors, a better intake, 70mm TB and whatever MAF you upgrade to (around 80mm), make sure you get the transfer function data to use as a starting point for the piggy back chip which you also need to run it all.

if i was to do the same mods on my 5L fairlane 2002 (AU) would i be looking at the same sort of RWKW as well?
