I recently installed the trip computer to my EL GLi, it was a succesfuly install but now i can not use my rear demister, when i press the button for the demister, and the transmission is in POWER mode the Economy light turns on and when you let go off the button the light goes off - im unsure if its puttin it in eco mode or not but when the economy is on it does nothing
I have cut the blue red wire from the middle plug (rear wiper i think) wich i dont need so i dont think ot will affect it No fuses that i can see are blown and a relay doesnt ''click'' when RD turned on |

You have plugged the Auto Economy Plug into you demister. Change the plugs over. There is a dash plug for the column shift auto's in the wiring loom, it overides the console switch.

but some non column shift cars still have the switch wiring in the dash for the power econ button...mine does..
