Has anyone tried putting an AU XR8 engine cover on an E series V8 with a dizzy? Do they fit up ok?

Wouldnt mind getting one for mine with the 5 liter badge.

I beleve it will fit, they may be designed to fit only with the explorer manifold though, the HO manifold is smaller, the coil packs take up more room than a dissy so I cant see that being an issue.

Sounds good.

Im also after one of the '5 litre' plates that go on to of the explorer manifold from an AU V8.

Will pay for postage from anywhere.

Or, if anyone can tell me where I can get these retail off the internet that would be great. Checked ebay but non there.

Thanks!

Those 5 litre plates will fit an HO manifold or an explorer manifold no worries.

From memory the front mount attaches to the coil pack bracket so you will need to fabricate a new front mount. The rear mount comes off the rear upper-lower bolt. OK if you run an explorer intake with 4 long bolts, but if you're running an HO intake you'll need to fabricate something for the rear mount as well.

If you fit an AU engine cover, the "5 litre plate" will be completely hidden

the AU engine cover doesn't hide the 5.O L plate.

They do fit. Here is mine as a test fit, but then I changed everything and sold the cover.
