thanks for the reply,
yep i have done this after looking on here a fair bit. see the thing is i had the car running before this problem, what happened is i started the car as usual bit it died almost straight away, so i turned the key right back to off and retried to start it again. but this time i got nothing at all. no radio no dash lights no clock, nothing except interior lights. ive checked all the fuses and relays and replaced some with new parts. (as they were ticking like crazy) buut still all i can manage now is to get partial dash lights when the key is turned to on. they come on really slowly (starting dim and brightening within a couple of seconds), and have this beeping and antenna noise. so i have no idea what ive done here lol. oh and ive charged the battery (all night last night) so i dont think its that. so basically all i get is interior lights and a beeping with the smartlock jewel flashing fast but not brightly and the dash coming to life slowing sometimes when the key is turned to the on posi. cheers for any help bibby |

Check the Main fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet.

yea i checked and changed the main fuses/relays. apprently the battery isnt holding charge.. which was weird as when the car was last started it didnt wane or seem that the battery was low on juice..
so anyway i got another charger on it and i got more of the dash. so i think the battery maybe buggered. thanks heaps guys for the help but ill keep you updated and again thanks for the help guys! cheers bibby |

Also Just a tip,
If you can get another earth strap preferably off an AU and hook that up from the engine to the chassis as the e series ones are S**T. Also make sure the one from the battery to behind the overflow bottle is smicky clean as it can cause big issues like this again with battery leakdown/drain over time. Also be sure to keep the terminals spotless as you can discharge a battery completely by just having dirt build up around the posts, as the current will travel from the posts and get wasted. Just a tip for future reference. Cheers Joel
