Ok , just finished work , and the first day back from a short holiday

thought i would check the new flanges that arrived from the USA.

They are not bad flanges for my Holset HX series turbos but when i sat them on the turbo housing there was a slight wobble . The flanges were tap dancing , not sitting flat.

So 30 minutes to setup and grind all five flanges on a surface grinder fixed that.

Did both sides of the flanges , now they fit perfectly , next the dump pipes and complete exhaust system.

cheers

There may not be enough time this year to complete the car, however, time will not change the amount of negativity (or the lack of grammar) expressed by those in this group, who should be encouraging new ideas.

Afterall, isn't the idea of these groups to exchange ideas and learn from each other (eg what may work and what won't work)? Or, to shoot down people for making an attempt at something new in their SPARE time?

Who cares how long anyone's project takes? For any body of work, with each step that is taken and documented in the group, someone may just pick up an idea for whatever they may be interested in. I am sure you are not such a Philistine to have never heard, "it's not the destination, but the journey".

Sad really, to read such 'knockers' and often those who are not prepared to have their own projects. Or, maybe that is their project!

Management/moderators etc should be setting the example of encouraging the exchange of ideas, projects etc. Does this group have a Mission Statement?

To those with new ideas and projects, good luck and hope you enjoy your journeys!

Alpha & 3.9

I know Ivan and we have a joke via the forums,
so the claims you both have made are really unfounded.

I suggest unless you know what goes on its best not to make judgement on this stuff.

As for the grammar side you try typing replys with a 4 month old trying his best to touch and play with everything in reach.
