Hey guys, just wanted to double check before I spent some $$$. My 95 EF Falcon makes a loud whining noise that comes from the back of the car, but only when my tank is low. The car also, sometimes, has trouble starting, kind of like it doesn't have enough fuel (this happens even if I have a full tank). Stomping the accelerator helps it start.
So, is this the fuel pump that needs to be replaced? Thanks, Jack.

Sounds like the pump is on the way out.

Sounds like it.
The fuel pump on the missus's XR8 decided to bundy off yesterday afternoon. No warning whatsoever , just a dead car. Fun job fixing that today.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |
