think about this- how much air will you engine be breathing at any rpm, the electric supercharger will have to be able to flow significantly more air than this or IT WILL CREATE NO BOOST AT ALL . If you ask me i think that it would be bad for performance because it is another restriction in the intake path. There are electric superchargers out there that work but they cost about $1500-$2000 and then you need to buy a few oddesy batteries because other batteries cant provide the current required. They work by charging the oddesy batteries through a steady trickle charge from your alternator and you trigger the supercharger via a button in the cabin like NOS. It can provide strong seady boost for about a minute i think which is s**t if you this about it, how long can you spend at WOT?

You have a freind with enough intelligence to buy a ba xr8, yet enough stupidity to put an electric charger on?... My goodness...
