in my car
going into 2nd (from first or third) its always a rough change, doesnt like going in there i know its not the clutch, because happened with the old clutch too (just got a new one, xr6) so yeh any suggestions?

2nd gear syncro worn out by the looks of it.
Try double clutching

My second gear used to be a bit stiffer than the other gears, but by no means impossible to get gears. It was still easy, just a little more effort required, and i couldn't hit 3rd gear in a hurry when drag racing. I've replaced my gearbox oil with synthetic ATF, and its 100 times better.

got the exact same prob, i tried diff gearbox oils as well and its the same, mine will even occasionally pop out of second gear when downshifting, its kinda weird and isnt the greatest goin into second from 1st
