I've got a Tickford LPG EF falcon that isn't running at all at the moment, won't start. I've narrowed it down to a faulty AMS, which is the control unit for the Tickford LPG system.

Can I unplug the LPG system, aka the power to it, and all the connectors out of the AMS, and then start it using a petrol ECU?

Yeah I cut it all out of my EF as it wasn't running right. It took about half a day to remove all traces of the LPG system. Fixed all the issues I was having and I got better fuel economy with it removed to as the mixer ring was restricting the intake so much and the f**k AMS stopped the car from idling right and was causing a miss through out the rev range. Any petrol ECU will do providing it's for a 6 cyl EF.

If you need a copy of the LPG wiring diagram do a search as I posted it up a few years ago in the lpg section for both factory tickford and aftermarket vaille systems to suit the EF's.
