Got myself an annoying rattle that comes and goes, and am wondering if this is a common issue, and how to fix it.
It occurs somewhere on the inside of the dash just to the right of the instruments/inside the right-hand side mirror/above the door speaker area.
As I said, it comes and goes, and I've tried pushing and pulling on the bits of plastic in that area when it happens, but without success. It's a knocking type of rattle, and bloody annoying when it occurs.
Any ideas?
Oh, it's an EF wagon.

Could be your wiring connector to your mirror or could be your window track has popped a weld. Pop the trim off and have a look. Not hard.

I battled a noise in that spot for the last 4 months, removed half the dash a few times with no luck until I replaced the windscreen!....A gap in the sealant somehow caused a rattle that sounded like a screw or 5cents bouncing on the dash! Although.......It has only been 3 days.

I have an annoying rattle inside the drivers door....Only happens when you go over a large bump, Otherwise it's quiet. Might take the door trim off tomorrow and see if I can locate and fix the problem.

I had that, wiring connector at bottom of door. Surrounded it in foam including the wire, solved it.

Cheers for that....I haven't had a chance to take a look at it yet but hopefully tomorrow all being well.
I know what you mean about the squeaking bushes....My EL wagon has that (Another thing I need to get stuck into).
