Hey all.

I have a LSD cradle from a BA XR6 that I want to put in the XT. I don't want to fork out $1500 to get it done at a diff specialist. Anyone taken their diff out and put back in? How much work would I be looking at. Cheers

Cheers. Time frame for all this to occur? I have all the tools etc. Also, I'll be getting a set of 3.7's for the diff also, and a bearing kit with new oil throughout.

are you changing the whole diff assy or opening the diff and changing the carrier?
if you're changing ratios then i would recommend having it proffessionally set up.

it's the pumpkin looking thing. but all the places i've checked have quoted $1600 to fit a shimmed 3.9 or 4.11 gears from an older diff; that I supply, complete bearing kit, and installed into vehicle. If they supply the gears its $2000 ish. Don't want to fork out that much just a better diff ratio and lsd lol

if you're just fitting the xr6 centre assy oil+all then it's just an unbolt and replace.
should easily be able to casually do it in 1 day

Sweet. I'll get gears, and take the centre to a diff joint and get them to pop them in. and then fit it up myself :) cheers for help mate.
