I just drove my EL in the rain for the first time. The Intermittent wipers just run at the same speed no matter what I set the knob too. The stalk and knob feel fine, the speedo works fine and everything else works perfectly. Is it likely to be the stalk or the BEM? Is this common?

The last car I encountered this in was an 86 Celica, and I didn't bother fixing it haha

broken wire inside the stalk, theres iirc a blue wire that connects to the pcb right up at the varible knob is.

you can undo it with the plastic cover behind the stalk.
