ive heard that they are f**k s**t, the ones to get are the plastic core ones but im not 100% on that. You would think that the aluminium ones would be better but apparently not.

nar they can be good most new cars runs ally rad's
just make sure u do nto mix coolants and flush the coolant on a regular basis also add a extra earth strap from the engine to the chassis ps the copper core rads are better than plastic

I replaced mine with the copper core one for $200 after going through 2 aluminium one's . One was replaceed under warranty. The car has only done 89,000kms and is onto its third and last for a while.
For some reason the AU factory aluminium ones start leaking from the top passanger side. A work mates AU3 was leaking there as well. ghiaman |

copper would be best then alu then plastic.... plastic is shocking at heat transfer.
the only thing better than copper is silver and then diamond being the best.... cheers bentley

Plastic core ey? Find it hard to beleive. Plastic header tanks are understandable, but definately not the core itself.

ally core are ok as long as they are properly earthed. The number one killer of them is stray current, causing oxidation.
