Just a quick one.
I have a eb s running a wade mix grind cam and j3. Should I be looking into installing a higher volume regulator. Would one off a xr6 do the job.thanks |

No harm chucking a 300kpa (xr6) reg on there. Some AUs (VCT I think) have 350 kpas, so if you can get a hold of an au fuel rail, you could put that on. I picked one up and it lines up with bolt holes on my ef bbm.

you can chuck one on but usually when you stick a cam in(maybe depends on what type) the fuel needs to be brought back a touch otherwise the car runs rich
wouldnt do any harm though chucking an xr6 one on, might make a difference

It was running rich with cam no chip, with the chip it was leaning out in the top end so I got old mate a t.I to put a but more in and it seems ok. A little thirsty.
If it's not to impOrtaint I might leave it. Main reason ibwas asking it when it's cold taking off it surges, wouldn't be surprised if my fuel pumps on the Frits tho. Thanks |

if your fuel pumps on the way out you will probably have problems starting the car like i did, will have to wind it over for ages ,
your best bet is getting the chip properly dyno tuned for your engine

Nah not hard to start, fires first time.
Checked the fuel pressure and its ok. Might have to flow my injectors up again. Make sure everything went right re building em |

Leave it as it is. There is no need for more fuel. Falcons run hell rich, the J3 can take control there.
