hey guys, picked up a manual ecu for my car today, when i picked it up the fella said to me to get the motor up to running temp then put the ecu in and go out and flog it for 15 miuntes so that it reved out quickly and ran fine, but would the auot ecu run it to allow the motor to get up to temp?

its all bull crap, just fit the manual ecu and drive it..
no need to do anything that the guy told you...
people say reset the ecu and thrash it so the ecu learns this so it goes better, its all aload of rubbish!. its the placebo effect lol.

the ecu only learns idle and light cruise(closed loop)
anything other than idle and cruise is pre programed from the open loop map and does not change...
