hey guys. picking up a BA XT off a mate for $1000, as the gearbox is completely rooted. The car will be used as a project build for a turbo, so come christmas time I will have something fun for Willowbank.

I will be needing a new gearbox, just wondering how much they are new or refurbished.

if your going to be getting one refurbished better off getting it built stronger, i think the xr6t gearboxes have better bands in them, i know that youd be better off calling all the transmission places you posibly can, tell them what you want exactly(standard box or beefed up one etc) and see what they quote and i personally wouldnt jump on the most expensive or the most cheapest, sus out the company and ask around on some forums before making a decission

So 2g for a decent box. Tax return can pay for that in july. In the mean time ill have a look around to see what's avail.
