I heard from someone that if you change the Air Intake, or anything into something that sucks in more air it can cause some major problems for the Gas system, making it unstable, or rough.
I'm just wondering if it's just dependant on the Gas system? what sort of air intake is put in, how it's done? Has anyone who has a Duel Fueled car, and has put a Cold Air in experienced any troubles? |

depending what typeof gas system you run? if its the one that restricts the air flow into the engine theres no point running a cold air intake anyway, will do sfa difference.
if its injection you could run a cai etc..

Just checked the gas system... I was told it was injection, and believed that when this car guy said it could cause issues.
Just checked, and did some searching up (like I should have)... It's an Aspirated system.. Impco That sucks hahahaha |

i dont know alot about gas systems but im sure if it isnt the throttle body type, or the injection, than a cold air induction will be pointless as its like you breathing normally(with no gas setup or with gss injection) then breathing though a straw(the cheaper way they do gas setups)

I've been lied to by a car company about a gas system they knew about... Hmmm, what idiots.
It's probably nearly impossible and highly expensive to get the aspirated system changed into an Injection based. Pops BF Fairlane Ghia (6 speed - which apparently matters) is injection, and doesn't run correctly, after a while, couple of months it starts to shudder when driving, accelerating. I don't know much about Gas either... but I think aspirated is more reliable... but it does decrease the overall performance where Injection doesn't... (petrol on petrol my car is quicker, gas on gas he flogs me) |
