Hi all, My bf fairmont ghia mkII heater is playing up and woundering if someone can help
if i have the duel zone climate control set to a cooler temp the drivers side air vent blows extremly hot air as if it is set on the max, but the passenger side is blowing as normal to the set temp. This can happen for any duration of time and just desides to do it when it wants . It has lasted for up to an hour before but by then i just shut the drivers side vent all together from the unbarable heat. Has anyone had this problem or know why this can happen.

Sounds like the HIM module behind where the radio is. They do misbehave a lot. It could also be a problem with the flap control shaft or the Flaps themselves.
HIM costs $651.00 BG 19H616 A part number and the shaft: BA 19K752 BKT $60.30 and the Flap: BA2 19D842 A $41.50.

G'day papa smurf, is it possible to replace the flap, Flap: BA2 19D842 A, without opening the aircon. gas system?
