Hi Guys
Have a ef which had lpg installed in 2009, I still have the receipt and it says it is fitted with a re-tested tank. The compliance plate serial number matches the the serial number on the tank and the compliance plate says tank last tested 09. My issue is even though the tank plate has the correct serial number its still has its old test date of 94 and I can see no other place (on the tank) where it is stamped that it was re tested in 09. Is it normal for them to only stamp the new date on the compliance plate ?. |

No I don't think that is normal I would take a closer look, the tank should be stamped with the testers stamp and the date tested.

Thanks for the reply, Do you know where the stamp usually is would it be on the original plate with the serial number or on the actual tank ?

On the tank, the tank must be removed from the car to test so it could be hard to see once re-installed.

The retest stamp is normally on the tanks compliance tag or on the valve pad.
It should not be stamped on the main body of the tank. In any case it shouldn't to hard to find it. |
