And here is a series using 7litre V8's from Crysler (or someone). Frames are all made on same jig/ Suspension and brakes and driveline are all the same. Yet they then put fibreglass FG or VE tops on them and people in NZ are giving me grief coz Greg Murphy in a "Holden" is winning. The only Holden thing about the car is maybe the mag wheels, the internal dash and the headlight covers. Utter rubbish. Why not allow any body shell on top of these chassis. I'd be first in with an EF Wagon. They wouldn't allow leaf springs but. And yes, V8 SUPERCARS have very strict rules on all sorts of things, such as diffs, suspension (have they done away with live rear axles yet?!), track width (Holdens, being thinner back in the day were spewing the Ford was wider...), weights, etc etc. The 5litre is a maximum isn't it? That's why 5.4's and the engines out the basic showroom Holden V8's are too big and therefore unable to be used....?! There is no way a 4WD turbo six would be able to enter. What does the V8 in V8 Supercars stand for? And why don't you think Holden and Ford just bolt on blowers or turbos already? The rules don't let them. Isn't Nissan just re-badged Holden anyway?! http://youtu.be/ZFW6mgPF9qk Here is a video of the Toyota Camry V8 USA NASCAR doing a burnout. Like much? Toyota, Ford, GM - All in same series. Good stuff. http://youtu.be/Q7J74n4IISU - Toyota Tundra in the V8 UTEs and then Camry in V8 Supercars? |
