Ok, so heres the story.. Ive put a new hub and bearing assembly on the front left hand of my au series 2, took it for a drive and now its howling like a banshee. Ive tried retightening, ive tried it loose, ive tried just about everything bit cant figure out what the hell is going on... Any one had this problem??

was it the hub assembly that had the bearing cone already in it? Howling bearing is also a sign of a dry bearing. Reason I ask if the cone was already in the hub, it could have the incorrect pitch on it causing it to have a big highspot causing it to howl. Always use the complete bearing kit where possible. Knock the cone out of the hub and use the one that was supplied with the bearings.
Recheck and make sure they are packed sufficiently as well.
