Hi

I have just bought an NA fairlane, Just wondering what i need to do about a few things.

The air conditioner all the vents and speeds and all that work normally with exception to the cooling. the compressor wont engage.

The Hand brake wont release. when the hand brake is pushed back in the cable drops to the ground and i have to get under and manually release them.

The passanger side front suspention is making rattling noise when going over bumps.

Brakes seem heavy

other wise the car ran very well.

Are these easy fixes?

Regards

Barry

not enough gas left in aircon causes this, needs testing and re gas

common problem i got my rear calipers reconditioned and now use my park brake all the time.

The passanger side front suspention is making rattling noise when going over bumps.

most likely the link pin bushes that go from sway bar to lower control arm, easy diy just do both sides together.

Brakes seem heavy
i had that problem as well, in the end i replaced all my brake components and shelled out for the race brakes melbourne saloon car upgrade, i had replaced my booster which had started leaking with a twin diafram unit but brakes were still heavy to apply, i would start with the rears as they are a known issue on yours.

other wise the car ran very well.

Are these easy fixes? have listed some above.
