I have the adjustable one from shiftkits.com and it made a difference of .15 seconds on the quarter for the 5.0. So yea they definitely work. Mine is fully adjustable and took about 15 mins to install. Highly reccomended. Mind you i only use it on the track, the annoying thunk between gears can get monotonous real quick

If you read on www.shiftkits.com.au they say the totally opposite and come in at $95 for like a two stage one with the ability to turn it on and off aswell. Its a shady area, maybe ask your local transmission place what they think first. Cheers Obviously they would say their product is the beez kneez (especially when their margins are so high) but they don't provide any statement that you can increase your gearbox service intervals I have heard lots of people on these forums say they chirp their wheels all the time with these shift kits active and not to use them in the wet. For good reason no doubt. No matter what any sales pitch may say, it can't be good to shock the drive line all the time as it (the bands/gears/uni's/diff) will wear out quicker and increase the risk of going sideways into somtheing solid in the wet.. Cheers. |

Definately use them in the wet! That's half the fun!
It's my diff that I can hear taking the beating, not the gearbox! |
