oxy sensors? low rev spluttering could be over-fuelling.
whats your fuel consumption like? lots of black smoke out the back when you rev it?

would hegos show up on the codes as they did not i will just run and get codes that i did get.
na no black smoke but does smell fuelie. terrible fuel econ in town but is around 9/10 ltrs/100 on highway.codes i got p0340 p0350 p0351 p0352 p0354 p0500 i changed the coil packs after this so im not sure if the coil pack faults are still there. NOW, the hegos are brand new and i left the pos lead off for an hour. took it for a drive and all the surging has dissapeared and the miss has gone when you floor it from 2000 through to 4000 but if you hover around 3000 put your foot down back off and put your foot into it again it coughs or misses again only at 3000rpm over it ok under it ok. i do admit it is running better though. any other ideas. |

My AU had the same problem. No Codes but replaced the HEGO's and the problem was fixed.

My AU did this exact thing. Ended up being a fault in the wire between the ECU and the cam encoder. Took about 6 months for 2 workshops to find, the fault didn't actually come up on the scope. Ran a new wire, and presto!
Without the cam encoder signal, I assume it was going back to some default load table which was just rubbish.
