Hey there I just installed a Bosch 044 pump and the car started first go but now it's hard 2 start its like its got a dead batt the car turns over 4 3sec and then goes tick tick I then changed the batt 2 a new 1 but still does the same my batt is in the boot. My mate reckons I should put a earth strap from my car body 2 the starter motor and earth the 044 pump in the boot because the pump draws 2 much current. I don't no wat do. some help!

What size cable did you use from the boot to the starter?
Do you have an engine-to-body earth strap?

Unplug the new fuel pump and see if your engine will crank as expected. Then atleast you'll know if its something relating to the current draw of the 044 (but I doubt it).

20A should be sufficient. The one in there should have the rating on it.
