I have just installed a trip computer into my GLi falcon and while it was rather easy I noticed that the 2 wires for illumination
Pin 6 (Brown) Park Lamps Signal Pin 7 (DarkBlue / Red) Park Lamps Dimmer Signal don't seem to matter which way they are connected. I don't notice any difference in brightness /dimness any reason for this? I have noticed that when the headlights are switched on that the display dims slightly. I would assume that this is so it does not appear to be brightly lit and distracting during night time driving. After installation I noticed that the odometer globe had blown, is this because I removed it, or perhaps just because it was it's time to blow? |

that's the tech doc that i used, you really need to have a spare plug that goes into the trip computer, luckily mine came with a spare plug that had wires sticking out of it so I could use some of those to hook into. To put the wires in the correct spot you need to unhook the wires from the plug(remove the white plastic piece first)
