The OP of the thread kept updating for 2 years to show how the coating lasted. Now he has started a new thread comparing this system to the much more expensive Opti Coat 2.0. It's not just the lenses though. If you've run high wattage globes before, or do lots of driving with your lights on, it's possible the reflectors have been damaged. Repair is not an option if this is the case. You will require new lights. If you can find good quality 2nd hand ones, I wold recommend them over the after market replacements. |

Hi,
Replace the lights with the old style twin round lights. There is a conversion you can buy, using the old type of glass / metal light. Add relays for bigger globes and it is done. An XR front would be nice, but a lot of time and money. As mentioned bigger globes in a plastic light is a short term fix, the reflectors and lens will be damaged and the wiring may not be up to it either. Regards 96ELGli
