i just cheaked every wiire in the car by grounding it with the accessories on and with them off no wires sparked with it off and only 1 wire sparked with them on so that wire must be the ignition wire meaning i have to battery wire???

Here, This link will tell you.
documents.php?d=27 Shorting them out isn't a wise idea. Chances are you now have a blown fuse. You have to be carefull probing around in daylesford..... I've heard.

I had to run my own constant power feed from the battery on both my EFs when I put aftermarket stereos in them. The BEM controls the clock and presets on the stock head unit if I recall, I imagine its the same on the ELs.
Hope this helps edit: Just don't forget to put a fuse in the line.
