I reckon they look ok ... I used to have one on my old corona and I tell you what - they make you car sooo much cooler in summer, the temp drop when parked in the shade is quite noticable. I've just never got around to getting one for my EF. It looks like a bit of a grandpa car but then... I'm old!! :)

Hmm... ELXR front and Shades on the back hahahahahaha

mmm XR front with a shade.... nar man that aint cool, i guess they look good sometimes depending on car, i can tell ya now, i couldnt drive with one thats for damn sure! just be distracting! i prefer to see naked women in the rear view mirror than big chunky black things! but anyways, i guess its independent choice, depends on who you are in whether you like it or not! but ill strike a deal with ya man, you can have my GLI and you can put your shade on that, and ill take your xr look a like :) dont ask why, but lately iv been saying ill swap my car for other ppls HAHAH! dont get me wrong, i LOVE my car, but really want an xr front, but cant be bothered spending the money :( if it was easier, and i didnt need to buy new lights as well, PLUS an EF bonnet due to me having an EL bonnet, which means id have to re do my washers, cause i like my neon washers, too much work to be honest!
