Hey guys just a quick one, ive gotta replace one of the heater hose on an EF Falcon and I would like to flush the cooling system while im at it. Im just wondering if i have got this right.
1) Undo Radiator drain Plug, let all coolant drain. 2) Remove split heater hose 3) Open thermostat housing a remove thermostat 4) Remove top radiator hose. 5) Place hose into the thermostat opening until water runs clear (what hose/outlet will this water come from?) 6) Place hose into top radiator outlet and wait till water runs clear from the bottom of the radiator? 7) Insert hose into heater hose and wait till water runs clear (once again where will it run out of?) 8) Refit new heater hose, thermostat, top radiator hose, drain plug and then refill with coolant/water. Thanks in advance.

I like to flush the motor and radiator separate, (no hoses connected) so you don't flush the crud from the motor through the radiator.

Don't forget to re-seal the thermostat housing properly, i've been caught out by that before
