Hey guys and gals,

I'm new to this forum, but not new to forum's in general.

I'd like to start by introducing myself, my name's tonka, I'm 22 and I've just bought myself a nice, new 2011 FG XR6.

My question is, I'd like to put 22" shoes on her, but am not too sure that they'll fit; not worried about having to roll guards.

If any of you fellow Ford Modders have some information on this, that'd be great. I'll be sure to upload some photo's of my new pride and joy asap.

Thanks,

tonka.

Great to hear that you have bought a nice new car but I wouldn't be adding wheel sthat size yet, the warranty will suffer.

Thanks for your reply Papa, what's the biggest rim size and wheel width that I can put on without voiding my warranty? It had big influence on where I bought the car so I don't want to void it!

Either 19's or the XR6 1/8" option wheels, they are a looker. :)

Alright guys, thanks for that. I'll put some photo's up of her as soon as I can.

Just quickly, do you know if there's anywhere that I can get good quality decal stickers from? Because I didn't get the GT stripe pack when I got her.

Me personally, I put 20's, they look great and ride smooth. Ive got a mate who put 19's and they look a little small.

ive also been told that 22's arent the best idea, because the back guards need rolling and something else needs to be done up in the wheel well...not sure what though

If the roads in your area have potholes or any sort of cr*p surface, throw away the idea of 20's. Even 19's would be a hassle as you would to dodge every little bump you find. Personally, after coming from 20's back to 17's, (YES, they look great), you spend too much time worrying about buckling a rim rather than driving. Get a nice set of 17's or even 18's, and make sure they have some meat between the road and rim.

im rolling 19's on my g6e, and im driving on the supposed priveleged roads of perth. from what im told our roads are great thanks to mining tax dollars. if your roads are worse, then i wouldnt consider anything above 19. unless you have a chiropractor to fix the kinks in your back, and are on a first name basis with a rim repairer

22's require the front suspension to be cut. highly illegal, and highly gay.
