Hi guys,

Ive just bought a nice clean AUII XR8 ute (5spd)
It already has full herrod exhaust and an SS induction kit on it....
I want to do a cam, manifold and throttle body.
Just curious on any good combo's or setups people have or can recommend, and any good places to get it done....
Also can the MAF sensor on the air box be binned????

thanks ford fans!

Nice purchase! I would not worry about a manifold change, upgrade the heads & cam along with headers, cats & a tune. :)

There is no benefit to deleting the MAF, Keep it on there, it will only cost money to delete, you will loose some drvability as well and be no better off for it.

A set of AFR 165's and a good cam will wake her up for sure, then just look at a tune. it will get over 200 RWKW's easy with the correct cam.

thanks heaps guys!
its already got a full stainless herrod kit including extractors so they can stay...
i thought the standard gt40p heads flowed really well? is there much benifit puttin alloy heads on? i thought a decent inlet manifold might be more of a gain?

The GT40P heads flow great to about 400HP, but your induction must match. The factory intake won't keep up. Nor will the 200kW cam. I would upgrade the intake, cam & valve springs/retainers. The factory 65mm TB could also be replaced with a 70mm unit

is there any manifolds and cams package you recommend? i was looking at a trickflow manifold and comp cams cam, but dont really know what size came would be the best. i dont want to big. ive also got a typhoon pod air box off my old XH xr6 ute we modded to fit so it will bolt straight in to this.... try and make a custom induction pipe but was unsure with this stupid maf sensor as to how to go about it
