hey guys just wondering if I can put a au motor in with a modified sump without trouble?

if the sump is modified to fit the au engine you should be right i ahve nbever done the mod myself but get in contact with SWC , BENJ or GAB1 they will know more about it

has anyone here gotten in touch with the athol ford wreckers, trying to get them via email but get all back with a fail response thing, and got no house phone to call them nor credit on mobile.
just wanna ask them about there au engines with modified sump etc

Athol Park have modified sumps for AU engines, so it would be no prob getting an AU donk thrown in. One of our club members works there, so could get a price for you if you wish or you can call over to our forum and ask him yourself....
An AU motor can be put in with no mods to body.... Use an EF/L sump and timing cover and a crap load of silastic on the rear Gasket..... Done that on my sons car.... The modded sump does make it easier tho....

hey guys found out the lifter noise on this engine, one of the lifter doesnt have a shim in it by the looks of things, I can move the rocker gear by hand which has you all know shouldn't be able to.
just waiting for the funds to come in so I can buy this au engine, then tools needed to install it etc slow going but good things come to those who wait apperently  oh and I have a third child on the way fun fun (already have 2 at age 2 and 1 )

hey guys finally pulled the rocker cover off and one of the rocker arms is loose like there is no shim on it, and all the rocker arms have the letter A on it except for that one, it had C on it, think someone did a dodgy job on the rocker gear..

hey guys still slowly working this out still, currently getting white smoke from exhaust, think its a internal head leak, cant find anything leaking from outside the head apart from rear seal and welsh plugs are leaking, getting a compression tester next week so will see then, got some shims to fix the lifter noise which will be good.
