What quality are the xyz, better than the similar spec Pedders? I have an el club car with a turbo engine, want to make it handle and havnt had any definitive answers on the best setup. Ride quality is not important as it will be a track car only. I would appreciate any and all input on suspension bushings, camber and caster adjustments, spring rates , sway bars and ride height etc. Cheers Scotty G.

How to lower your car?

You can do it yourself or it can be done by specialist suspension workshop. To lower a car with a conventional suspension set-up the coil spring is replaced with a shorter, stronger coil unit. This replacement allows more compression of the suspension at ride height. To get the desired height when lowering or raising your car correctly, we measure the center hub-to-guard distance, this measurement is taken as a reference point to determine what spring is required to give the approximate height, disregarding aspects such as tyre and rim size.

One aspect to consider when lowering your car is the reduction working suspension travel. As your vehicle is lowered, you reduce travel and therefore reducing the ability of the suspension to absorb the bigger bumps. 

Lowered coil springs and leafs are generally sold in many different heights which includes low, super low and ultra-low height. The design of the coil spring is specifically engineered to suit every application taking into consideration what height you want your ride set at. 

Coilover suspension is another popular way of lowering your car. The major advantage of a coilover compared to replacing the coil spring, is the amount of adjustability.
