with this would you just adhere the new fabric on top of the old material? because looking at it, it seems that the foam is part of the fabric....

that looks very nice mister sperm boy. I have a spare set of door trims which i am going to give it a shot once I decide on what colour I am using and if the doco still isn't up, well then I guess I'll make one.

I Just used vinyl from spotlight with no foam at all.

1.Just take them off the trim pannel (remove door trim and unbend wires holding em on)
2.Take the material off (tear that s**t off)
3.Apply contact adhesive to both surfaces.
4.Use a heat gun to soften edges of the vinyl and apply to trim pannel, folding edges over.
5.Cut holes for handles and re-fit.

Piece of piss!

In retrospect I would have used automotive vinyl or Leather and put some padding behind it to puff it out a bit.

ill post up some pics of mine in a week or so

my cousin is doing a course at tafe for car interior design or something like that so we are using my car as some practice.

going to do the whole top of the dash in black leather and the bottom in a dark blue then follow on with the door trims, and will do the seats if we feel confident. we will be using some with foam and some with out depending on what look i want were.

Also i went to a wrecker the other day and got a wood steering wheel from a Au LTD for $7!!!!!!! but the leather was shot so he is going to re wrap it for me

It all looks as it will be fairly simple ill keep you guys informd on how i go and post some pics up as i go along
