hey everyone just a quick question, im about to fit a set of camtech stage 2 camshafts to my 04 i6 ba falcon but have just been told by a tuner that around 25- 35,000 km's after fitting cams to a ba they either break the timing chain or strip the lower chain gear. has anyone experienced this problem?

wo.. i doubt that very much.
the company that makes the cams wouldnt be in business if they make things that break engines for no reason.

the only thing ive heard is after new cams, if your rev range exceeds 6000rpm the oil pump gears are known to fail and fall apart...

yeah thats what im thinking sounds a bit odd to me, especially since there are so many companies making them and even more people using them.
yes i have heard the oil pump gears can let go aswell and have looked into billet ones. |
