Ripped the pedal box out yesterday and TIGed a piece of metal @ 90º over the rear of the pin that leads to the front of the box. This was welded both sides of the plate and pin. This SHOULD give it quit a bit of strength that hopefully outlasts the vehicle. She is a TOTALLY different vehicle to drive now, Im completely stoked!

My only problem now is the brake switch popped off and I cant actually remember how it was installed.

Sorry to mine this thread,
but just need to watch this thread for my old man.
He's strengthening the AU's pedal box as it's clutch pedal has fallen away and farrked up.
The housing has torn and made the clutch pedal bend under the stress of his size 13 boot.
