Hi fellas,
Just wondering if someone can help me out? I recently fitted a BA XR6 turbo diff (3.45 LSD) to my XT falcon. The diff had done around 1000, 000kms and looked to be in good condition. However now I am finding every time the car sits at around 90-100km I am getting a whine from the rear end of the car. Does anyone know what sort of cost I would be looking at in order to get this fixed? |

You won't really know untill you strip it down and inspect it . I had a bad whine in mine and it was the bearings .

Fair enough. I called my local diff joint and they quoted me $1500 to fix the issue. They said I will need a new pinon and diff gears.

Yeah i thought the price was a bit steep. The same mob quoted me $1250 to have the diff installed in the first place. I got my local mechanic to install it for $350.
So I might just get him to have a look at it for me. Its not too loud but its definately there! |
