you could probs get about 220 rwkw safely on your stock motor box and diff, your box would give way first if anything, motor should be sweet and diff, but theyre about $5000 for a kit, i think theyre bolt on drive away, custom dyno tune required after install of course and fuel system upgraded, i.e.. xr6 turbo fuel reg, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, if you just wanted to slap it on you could prob push it to 200ish rwkw with out fuel system upgrade but probably be pushing it, on an n/a.

This sprintex S5-335 goes pretty hard on a BA XR6, but only after you re-engineer and modify the original kit by at least 80% (at least 30%of that re-engineering will be done just to get it to fit correctly). Then you gota upgrade it to water to air cooled, then upgrade the rods, pistons, cams, valves, trans, & cooling.
Don't believe any of this this Crap that you will be "no doubt" told,,, that you will be able to bolt these things on to a standard car and do amazing times,,, because the truth is on a standard car you may get away with it not blowing up for a month, maybe two if your lucky. You could run it De-tuned with less boost "I guess" which will prolong the engine life,,, but doing this is just so contradictory & a waste of money!! There are no short cuts & to do it properly it is going to cost you major $$$dollars,,,, at least double the cost of the Supercharger Kit (& that is if you are lucky) Even though an ECU controls everything these days it is still just an internal combustion engine that has been around since day one. In other words.... Spark, timing mixture & air is still what makes these things ppurrr when they is tuned correctly. So you have gotsta go to someone who can actually tune a supercharged engine from scratch. In other words a real tuner who knows what he is doing. Don't just go to the guys who say they have a full library of tunes & that they will have one to suit...... because believe me unless your supercharger is a factory fitted upgrade or a standard "available everywhere" after market toy supercharger they wont. Been there done that & it took me 4 goes before I found a tuner that could turn a lemon into a Peach. |
