Hi guys,
I am thinking about getting the stall converter in my BTR modified. My is an EL2 XR8 soon to be mildly modified. I hear so many great things about the driving experience with a higher stall. I have been doing some reading and apparently most of the sub 3000 stalls are only modified standard ones. So I was thinking about just getting mine modified. Who has done this and what did they think? What did it cost? Any recommended shops in Adelaide would be appreciated also. Thanks Jason. |

yep. i have one. its called a more-stall its around 2.3-2.5k rpm and it does damn well.
the original convertor is open up and the oil pickup fins are machined down so it required more rpm to shift the box oil to lock the convertor up = more-stall. mine was 500 when i swapped them my old stocko one

i currently have a tci 2500-2800 stall and to be honest i dont really like it..
i does what its ment to but i dont like the constant transition from cruising@ 1600rpm to 2500 rpm everytime i hit a hill or want to accelerate a little.. |
