Hey guys

When i accelerate my xl ute seems to just lag then after a second or two finally decides to accelerate and im not sure what it is.

i got a tune and service and it still does it

Hey dude it sounds like you have some coil packs going bad. Coil packs provide electricity for the spark plugs to fire. If one or more coil packs go bad your engine will pump fuel but it wont fire hence your flat spot! Its happened to me as well. Usually when one goes bad they all usually go bad one after another, but you can replace one and always wait for the other to follow along as they are a bit pricey.

Your sure it's not drive by wire that has that tiny moment before sending signal

yea could be! but still you can just check your coil packs to see if any have a low spark, doesnt mean you have to replace them if there's nothing wrong with em'. just check with a code checker to see if any codes pop up.
