Hey guys i always see it but never know what it means. I know it is the opposite to SQ so it got something to do with being loud and not quality.

Yes, measued in dB (deci-Bells) usually with an 'A' rating - dBA. Measurements are taken from defined positions, while playing an agreed apon track (as they do in SQ).
Every extra 3dB is a doubling of power output (and naturally in an ideal world a doubling of power input). But the human ear needs an extra 10dB to detect it as twice as loud!
